Thermo ShieldThermo Shield is the standard treatment that Edelrid applies to all their ropes. The thermal stabilizing process ensures that the core and sheath yarns are perfectly balanced. A special heat treatment cure first relaxes then shrinks the rope’s fibers. This harmonizes the gliding characteristics of the yarns inside the rope and ensures that it remains compact and supple throughout its life. It also ensures that the rope does not shrink or becomes stiff. Tracer Thread MarkingsThe diameter of all Edelrid static ropes and accessory cords can be quickly and unambiguously determined from the number of tracer thread markings on the sheath. Certified sewn terminationIn order to fulfil the diverse requirements for professional applications, Edelrid takes orders for ropes of any desired length with sewn terminations (at one or both ends). All terminations are computer-sewn at Edelrid and provided with a high-quality synthetic protective sleeve. The protective sleeve keeps the lanyard in place and reliably protects the seam from damage. The ropes are ready for immediate use and do not require any knots.
